What signal-based outbound is
Signal-based outbound means you contact an account because something just happened there, not because it is next on a list. A new sales leader, a funding round, a burst of SDR job posts, a past champion starting at a new company. The signal decides who hears from you first. It also gives the email its first line.
It works because timing beats targeting. At any moment only a small share of your market is ready to buy. Signals are how you find that share early and reach it with a reason to talk that fits what is happening to them right now.
Who it is for
- Teams whose cold sequences get ignored because they could be sent to anyone
- Companies with a defined ICP that want to work it in the right order
- Sales leaders who bought intent data and still cannot tell a hot account from noise
How we build it
- Choose the signals that matterWe look at your past wins and pick the few events that actually came before a deal in your market.
- Watch for them every dayJob posts, leadership changes, funding, stack changes and champion moves, tracked across your whole market map.
- Score and expireEach signal gets a strength, a freshness window and an expiry date. Stale signals drop out on their own.
- Write around the triggerThe signal sets the subject, the first line and the offer. One problem, one question.
LIST ORDER
- Next 500 rows in the export
- Same email to everyone
- Reason to reply: none
SIGNAL ORDER
- Accounts where something just changed
- Email written around that change
- Reason to reply: in the first line
What you get
- A signal list built from your own wins, not a vendor's default
- Daily tracking across every account in your market
- Messaging per trigger, reviewed by a person before it sends
- Reporting that shows which signals turn into pipeline
FROM THE YARD
We give every signal an expiry date. A funding round is a good reason to write for a few weeks. A job change, a few months. After that the reason is gone and the email reads like every other cold pitch.

Questions about signal-based outbound
Is this the same as buying intent data?
No. Intent data tells you a company read about a topic. A signal is a dated event, like a hire or a funding round, tied to a person you can write to. We use intent data only as one input among many.
Do we need a market map first?
Yes. We build it. Without a map a signal is just an alert about a company you may not want. With one, it moves a good account to the front of the queue.
How many accounts show a signal at once?
Usually a small part of the market in any given month. That is the point. Those accounts get the best emails first while the rest wait their turn.
